i just ordered some new gear and cant wait to get it:

2x Rotel RB-1070's to power rear channels (bi-amped)
Audioquest Pike's Peak for mains
a pair of Magnepan SMGc's for rears

:-) woohoo! i will finally have an all magnepan HT setup with hopefully enough juice.

Very very nice! I wanted to get some baby Mags, but my receiver only goes down to 6ohm, and those Maggies need 4ohm

Nice setup though

thanx. just called audioquest today, the cable is in stock. i asked if i could get it upgraded to 48V bias, instead of the 24V, and they said yes

so, ill see that in a week or so.

yeah, maggies are HARD to drive right, regardless of what people say. if they say they are easy, chances are, they arent getting what they should out of them...

right now i have just the yamaha driving the fronts (doing a suprisingly good job for now). i have no center as i decided to image the center with my fronts (works better than any center ive heard yet).

i am getting some pass labs amps in summer for the fronts, as well as the new (shhh, keep it secret), B&K reference 60 thats coming out in summer too. so, the yamaha will go away, and ill be left with the rotels in back, pass labs in front, and the B&K ref60 for processing.

the rotels will be used up front until that time.

hum, im not sure what you are referring to?

the reference 60 will just continue in the tradition of the ref20, 30, 40, and 50...

word from my rep is that its coming out Q2 of this year.

It was their System Ten line.

Capri Ten audio processor on top
Madras Ten video processor in the middle
Gibralter Ten power amplifier on the bottom

That was at least year's CES, not production level. They were planning to slot it above the Ref I believe.
