Skyworth DVD-1050P all-region player: Any good?
HKFlix advertises this DVD player in DVDTalk. Anyone have any experience with it? It's about $400. I'm looking at getting a direct view HDTV and wonder if this player would make a good match...

yeah, I have a Sony 1031 front projector, I was thinking how this player would work with my set-up, currently I'm running a s-video into a line doubling DVDO Iscan which outputs to VGA

I personally like the looks of the Malata 588. Slim design and plays everything the way it should.

As for the Skyworth, the only downfall for me was seeing this:
PAL/NTSC Compatible: Can output in either PAL or NTSC (note: This unit does not convert PAL to NTSC or NTSC to PAL)
Really pointless to get if you have PAL discs and a non-PAL TV since you couldn't watch them.
