Vintage speaker (tannoy) and turntable (transcriptor): info requested
A close friend of the family sent me a request to find some information (well, price) to some vintage equipment that he owns. I did a little searching with some luck on the tannoy's and no luck on the turntable. I imagine that there are a few people who know a great deal of information about vintage products and was wondering if I could get some help with a general price range. He is interested in selling them. From what I have been told, they are in great shape.
He mentions the name of the turntable in a recent email and I am wondering if he made a typo and if it should read Satellite Transcriptor. Anyway, here's the information he sent in an email:
> The speakers are 15 inch Tannoy Monitor Dual Concentric Gold in The Belvedere Enclosure they are 33 1/2" high, 23 3/4" width and 16" deep. The wood is oiled walnut in near perfect condition. The turntable is a Satilite Transcriptor , only manula with 2 speeds 33 and 78 I believe.
