Need help pick HDTV
I live in Houston and was thinking of going to the Super Bowl but after seeing what it will cost for tickets I am thinking I would be better off to spend the money upgrading my TV and watching it from home.
I have the following HT setup:
NHT Superones
NHT Super Center
NHT SW 10
Harman Kardon AVR525
Direct Tivo
JVC XV-SA600 region free DVD player
and a crappy proscan 32 inch TV
I need help picking a good HDTV in the 40-50 something inch size range. I dont want Plasma but I am open to any other suggestions.
Thanks

I am hoping to keep it under 3K.
I wont be able to get HDTV through the Direct TV until I upgrade my receiver so i will be basically using it for XBox and DVD's for a while.

Here is a good website for some comparisons.

Personally I would never buy a TV that I could not see first. I would try some local retailers in your area and begin making a short list based on your budget as there appear to be a number of choices in your range.
