Panasonic Speaker Package Question????

I was wondering if either one of these speaker systems are any good. Both are by Panason and have the Slim speakers, which would be great for me house...

First, is this speaker system:

Then, there is the all-in-one home theatre pacakge:

NOW my question is, what is the difference between the speakers in these two packages? Are they any good? The whole package deal is cheaper at some retailers. I honestly don't need the whole package since I already have a good DVD player and my receiver is acceptable.

Thanks!

I don't know much about these systems, but I can give some advice. Go to the B&M store and listen to them yourself. If you can't tell much of a difference between the two, buy the cheaper one. You also may want to check out www.audioreview.com for user reviews of the sytems.

Thanks, right now I have a JBL home theatre in a box type deal. It's the FIVE small cube speakers and a SUB. Now that I bought a house, I think the room may be smaller, so I don't need High End equipment in my opinion. I'm sure these are comparable to what I have now.

I'm just curious if I could buy the cheaper of the two and just use that DVD Player in a bedroom or something, and hook the rest of the speakers up to my current equipment (Panasonic RP-82 DVD player and a Sony receiver)

Any other systems like this??? I'm looking for the tall slim speakers. I really don't feel like mounting anything in my new house.

I think Sony and JVC have them, but all of them are package systems. I just need the speakers and SUB. or I just may be buying speaker stands for my little JBL cubes.

If you think the Panasonic speakers are comparable to what you have now, speaker stands may be your best bet. Why spend the money if it isn't an upgrade?

I just ordered some stands from racksandstands.com. For $60, they are adjustable and are designed for small cube/satellite speakers. They come in silver or black.
