Help! show time remaining on Denon 1600?
I know this may be a dumb question but I just bought a Denon 1600 DVD player and can't figure out how to make it display the time remaining on a DVD. There is nothing in the manual about it.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

This player doesn't offer that feature. I know because I also own it. While this feature is nice I have come to live without it quite easily. It does seem like a very basic feature though, which you would think would be included, especially an such a kick-ass dvd player.

I also have the DVD-1600 and miss this feature. I have come to realize that no good player I will own will have this feature...just my cheap-o APEX. Hardly any of the dvd players that we sell at my work show time remaining...must not be a high-end dvd player feature, along with SVCD playback

I can live without a time-remaining display.

They also have the chroma upsampling error.

FYI, the Denon 1600 video section is based on the Panasonic RP56, but tweaked up. The RP56 also lacked a time remaining indicator, as did all Panasonic dvd models of it's generation, including the RP91.
Newer generations of Panasonic players (along with new Denon models like the 910 and 1200) have time remaining/time search features.
