Help with purchase please
Hi guys,
I know very little about tv tech stuff and was wondering if anybody knew of anything that would meet all of these requirments ? Thanks so much. Basically Id like something that-
HDTV
It could play XBOX games at 1080i resolution
I could watch movies in full letterbox
It could also double as a computer monitor
Light weigth

If you're looking for a HDTV alomost any will fit those needs. I don't have an XBox but aren't most of there HD games only 720p. If so you'll need a TV that can show that scan rate or accept it and convert to 1080i. Also i could be mistaken but a computer display on an HDTV is limited to a much lower resolution than a regular computer monitor can display. If you just want to hook up a HTPC to the HDTV that's fine by surfing the web or doing spreadsheets would be limited to the lower res output.

I'd have to say if you are using the TV for alot of gaming, that you not get a Rear Projection TV. Based on what you said you would use your TV for, did you think about a Front Projection system. Once you see one, you'll need it...
