Congrats jkester. What kind did you buy? I've had my Mits 55" for about 1.5 years now and it's great. Now I just need to decide on which sat to get either dish or directtv so I can get HDTV. I can't get locals and my cable co is 2 years away from going digital.

Absolutely... A 47" Panny. I've had it for over a year and it's worth every cent that I paid for it...

You can have my wife, my kids and my house. Just leave me with my new car, the WS Mitsubishi and my DVDs and I'll be fine.

I own a RCA F38310JX4 model purchased on
March 1, 2001. Today I ran a service diagnostic test on it and all came out OK. Odometer reading is 19,520 as read inside the Service Menu I hacked about 2 years ago.

Although the F38 is supposed to be 38 inches diaginol, mine is 39. I have measured and re-measured, but it's 39 inches. Configuration in *glass* is 19 9/16 inches high and 34.5 inches wide. A 38 would be 19"H by 33.25"W.

I was taught that 1/2 of diaginol is the height and 7/8 of diaginol is your width inside *glass* measurments.

P.S. I have also hacked the service menu code on all of my DVD players and DVD changers and a few other things.

I want one!!

Moving in a month....will have a dedicated HT room...need to figure out if I should get an HDTV or a projector (2 bd room town house...though renting so I would have to be careful about hanging a projector, building a quiet box, etc)

Maybe if/when I get a bonus...i'll take the plunge.

pedagogue, you can always table mount your pj- thats what i do.
the minus is that it takes over the sweet spot,
the plus is that you are now flexible to have a 'constant height/variable width' set-up-
something that no rp in the world can give you.
even 16:9 sets letterbox the widest movies.

You took great photos of your TV Phil I, how did you get such clear images? Every time I take a picture I get flash or glare..

any input you could provide would be much appreciated..
