Home theater help- Sony vs Onkyo?
Looking for some good advice on getting a home theater
system. Looking for something with good sound that is
easy to set up. Not necessarily looking to have something
that is "top of the line", rattle the walls, as I have listened
to regular TV speakers most of my life. Looking for
something as simple to hookup as possible as I may
be moving in a couple of years. After alot of research, I
am looking at two systems: The Onkyo LSV950 and the
Sony davc-770. With rebate the Sony system can be had
for under $400, but most seem to think the Onkyo is better.
I have a large living room, around (22x15).........
I am leaning towards trying the Sony because of the great
price difference and the fact that I may move soon.....
If anyone has any advice on these two systems
or any others, I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance

You might want to consider the factory refurbed TXSR600PKG from Onkyo's website (shoponkyo.com). It includes what appears to be a better receiver and the SKSHT-500 speaker set, which is quite a good value. That package is $500. Onkyo's website also has refurbed LSV950 packages available, too.
Either way, I'd certainly recommend Onkyo's HTIB sets over Sony's.
