Wireless A/V Transmitters?

Did a search and couldn't find any related topics, so here it goes. I am just wondering if anyone has ever used a wireless A/V transmitter to send A/V signals from one TV and component (such as a DVD player) to another TV elsewhere in the house?

To make things a little more clear, I should explain my situation. The wife and I want to put some exercise equipment in the garage, and a small (13"?) TV would be nice to watch while working out. The room adjacent is the living room, where there is the downstairs TV, DVD player, VCR, and Directv receiver. Obviously, I don't want to buy new components for this garage TV, for both the financial and space considerations. Nor do I want to run a set of wires from each of these out into the garage. Which led me to wireless transmitters.

I would prefer to get one that would handle multiple inputs, for each of the components (I guess it would have a manual or automatic selector switch built in). Most that I have seen only take one A/V input, which would necessitate wiring a switch box in between the components and the transmitter. To make this setup the smallest and with least amount of additional cabling, a multiple input box would be ideal.

So does anyone know of a good multiple input wireless A/V transmitter? If not, do you have any recommendations for good switch A/V switch boxes (for 3 components using RCA and/or coax) and a good single input A/V wireless transmitter to go with it?

I have a WaveCom, SR AV-transmitter which uses the 2.4 GHZ frequency. However, I don't use it anymore because my 2.4 GHZ telephone causes interference. I think that the picture is pretty good overall but the telephone interference renders the picture unwatchable. So, be cautious of any neighbors using 2.4 GHZ cordless telephones.
