Hey guys. Sorry if this is too off-topic, but I thought someone here would be able to help me.

I'm getting married in October, and rather than hire a DJ, I want to burn my own CDs, put them in a little portable system with decent sound, push play, and let it go. (I have asked a friend to change out the CDs from time to time.)

So here are my questions:

I know that MP3 files are different from the audio files that I get when I simply copy a song from CD to CD-R. And I know that there are players out there that can handle both kinds of files. But most such players seem to be tiny little things with headphones, and I need one to which I can connect a pretty good set of speakers. Is there an MP3/CD-R player that would fit the bill? Either one that is a stand-alone unit with its own speakers, or one that I can hook up to a larger system?

And Question Two: When I am burning CDs, can I mix the kinds of files on a single CD? In other words, can I record and playback both MP3's and regular audio files from a single CD? I suspect the answer is no, but I thought I'd doublecheck.

I'll try my best:

1) You can buy a sub-$100 CD/CD-R/CD-RW/MP3 player for your home theater that will do the trick. Just bring it with you, plug in the composite connections to the "larger system" and you should be fine to play multiple types of CDs. ALSO, you could spring bigtime for something that could be more useful in the future. You could buy an iPod for about $300 (10GB model), use a cable that takes the headphone output and changes it to RCA (composite) connections. That way you could throw together a bunch of MP3s on your computer, then upload them to the iPod and be done.
