subwoofer cables
I have a subwoofer cable that is going from the sub to the sub preout on the amp, however, I am not getting much bass.
Is there any other ways to hook it up?
Please provide some pictures of cables. Thx.

That's usually the best way to hook up a sub. Depending on your receiver and sub, there are things you can do though. If your speakers are set to large, try setting them to small. Check your manual and see if you can set the receiver's crossover frequency for the sub, you may be able to 'force' more to the sub than normal. Also, turning up the volume on the sub is helpful as well.
What receiver and sub do you have? What material are you trying to test the sub on?

If you are listening to 5.1 audio tracks and the sub is still low you just need to up the sub level on your receiver (or on the sub itself). Buy a SPL meter at Radio Shack and have your receiver do a test tone and set all the speakers to the same SPL level but have the sub 5db or so higher then the other speakers.
