Sounds like you want to connect a RCA DTC 100 to your HDTV..
Go on fleabay - search for "RCA Transcoder" in the title or "RCA Transcoder component" in the text. You should be able to find one for $40. I went out and bought some 6' AR component cables and a new SVGA 15pin cable (Thicker and longer).
You can use the cables the transcoder comes with (component and VGA) but I went with something better for a couple of bucks more.
Good luck

This depends on whether you need a transcoder or a simple component-to-VGA adaptor. If connecting a DVD player to a projector with a VGA input that will accept analog component, you just need an adaptor. You can buy those for about $35. If you're trying to connect an HDTV-decoder's VGA output to the component inputs on an HD-ready set, you need a transcoder. Those are more expensive.

Just wanted to add that sometimes these are referred to as "VGA breakout cables" in case you needed more search keywords. The breakout end can come with various types of connectors, but usually it'll be BNC or RCA.

Hey all,
I'm tryin to hook up my progressive scan DVD player to my newly finance Sony Plasma Pfm-42b1 Display and it accepts the Vga signal.
Here's the Cable wire I'm talking about:
http://www.bestbuyplasma.com/Plasma/...Sku=MVHDDB3R2M
is it any good or worth it?,is there any other cable brands that can outdo this one?,Money isn't really important for me as I want the Best product that $$$ can buy.

Take a look at the bottom of the page here:
http://www.pacificable.com/PCCables.htm
I've ordered from them before. Good quality. Here's the 6' one:

If you want higher quality cabling made of Canare V-3C wiring (similar to BetterCables), you can go here for $59.95:

Here's another choice:

I'd suggest getting some of Transparent Cable's Reference XL series RGB cable made with RCA connectors. They actually might make them in their Opus line too if you ask. A pair of their Opus speaker cabling is $24,000 for the 8 foot long. The VGA-3RCA shouldn't be too much more than that.
