About to jump into surrond sound, HELP!
Hi, I currently have the Sony kv-36xbr800 set up in my bedroom and want to get a surrond sound setup, my only surrond sound setup in the past was HTiB, I don't want to go this route. I wanted to go with the Paradigm 5.1 system. But my question is what will be a good receiver, I have the tv, a panny rp-91, a hd cable box, and ps2, and xbox, and a tivo. I have heard about component switching what is it? I have seen on some receivers that they have 2 component inputs, but I need one for the dvd, ps2, and xbox. so how is this part done?
The main thing I need help on is what is a good receiver that matches sonically with the Paradigm speakers, in a price range of $500 to $1000.

I got the Harman Kardon AVR-525 from one call. the have factory renewed ones for $499. this is usually $999 and the factory renewed ones are just returns within 30 days and floor models that are sent back to the factory and cleaned up and tested.

this is a good way to get a 1000 dollar receiver for half price while still retaining the full warranty.
it has 2 component inputs, but if your TV has multiple inputs you should be ok.
