Anybody have the Sony XBR?

I just stopped at Circuit City last night and checked one of these puppies out and all I have to say is WOW! They are like 20" deep and have a great picture it is a HD-LCD display the only thing is it costs like $4000 or this and you still have to buy the receiver but man is this a sweet set up. I was just curious if anybody has one of these and what they thought of it because this just became my new top choice to buy. Thanks in advance.

I was looking at the 60 inch but am not sure of the model number I was just blown away by how thin it was and how it had a great picture. Which two do you have? The sales guy was telling me that they weigh like 150 pounds which is pretty sweet.

Make sure you're happy with the black levels on those. I found it lacking when I looked at it in the showroom. But the colors looked very good.

I have been especially after calibrating with VE.

Actually, I meant teddydogg's HD-LCD unit. I would hope you could get good ones with yours! They are entirely different sets.

Thanks for mentioning this I will have to take a better look at this next time I go in there. I agree the colors are quite nice.

Good. I tried playing with the contrast and brightness and just couldn't get the blacks black while maintaining any decent picture. It was in a lighted showroom, but the difference between it and various Mits and Toshibas was very plain.

It would be nice if you could bring Avia or another calibration DVD with you and get the light levels turned down in the store. Maybe close to closing time or something. Unless they have it in one of their darkened rooms.
