Light problem with rptv

I have noticed a white light peeking threw the top left portioin of my screen where the screen meets the frame. It goes about halfway across and 2" down the screen. It is not very bright but I notice it on a dark scene. Anyone know what could be causing this??

Thanks for any help.

P.S. It is a 55" HD RPTV Philips

You shouldn't have any white lights in there. Go into the light. NO, don't go into the light. I'd take it apart, screw it all up and then call a repairman, but that's me.

It soundds like it might be light reflections off of something inside. The inside of the box should be all black. If the box is plastic it should be black plastic. If its wood it should be painted black but sometimes they miss an area when they paint it at the factory. Metal brackets inside can also cause light reflections if they're not black. If you just bought it and its under warranty I'd call them to look at it.

Is this on cable or DVD? If it's only cable it could be a fault of the company's descrambling system. On my old server I saw a thin, white line on the upper left side, especially when the picture faded to black. It still appears on tapes made when we had that system.
