Looking for a good A/V selector...

I'm looking for a selector with S-video inputs to connect my 3 video game consoles, and a satellite receiver to my TV. Is there one that also includes optical inputs as well. I currently use the "swivel" selector, but if i could just consolidate all the inputs that would be ideal.
Also, how does the individual component's picture quality hold up when runnign through an A/V selector?
Thanks!

Any additional path(s) for a signal will tend to degrade it. How much would be determined by the quality of the switch and the cable lengths involved.

In my experience, very little difference if any.

Do you own a receiver? What are you running optical audio to?
