DTS question

ok, I have a panasonic rp-82 dvd player hooked up to a pioneer vsx-d411 receiver that has dts and dolby digital. when I play a dvd on the dts track the receiver still shows up as pro logic II. The player is hooked up through coaxial digital out. Now when I hook up my old apex ad-600a through coaxial digital out the dts will light up on the receiver.. so whats up with the rp-82? do you have to set it up somehow?

You most likely have to change the DTS output setting in the Menu of the player from PCM to Bitstream (or on). If it is not set on, the player will just PCM.

I had this same problem the other day when I got a new dvd player and receiver. I was dumbfounded.. Pays to look at those menus I guess. I wish I would have seen this post then.
