Moving to a new place - suggestions

I'm looking for a house (condo, co-op, etc.). If I happen to find one that I like, I won't have my TV, stereo setup the same as I have now. Basically I live in a 1BR apt that has a huge living room with the bedroom being used as a junk room. So essentially have it set up like a really big efficiency. Everyone who has an apartment like mine in my complex does this. Anyway, so what do I do with my current TV, DVD player, stereo, etc. Do I move my existing setup to the bedroom duplicate everything for the living room (except with upgraded stuff)? Or do I put mostly everything in my living room except for 20" TV which goes in bedroom and buy a big TV for the living room?

Basically what I'm really asking is if general audience here duplicates everything for the living room and bedroom or what? I can't imagine not having at least a TV in the bedroom. What do you do? Just for planning purposes I'd like to know.

I have the "nice" set up in the family room. I have a TV and DVD ONLY in the bedroom. No surround in the bedroom, but I can at least watch a DVD if I want.

I was expecting a bigger response to this one, something along the lines of I have my nice setup in the living room and I use my PC's DVD-ROM to watch DVD's in the bedroom.

I'm about in the same boat as Sdallnct. I have a nice setup in the living room, and in my bedroom I have my old 27 Sony, old dvd player etc.

Basically As I upgrade the living room, I take the stuff, and put it my bedroom. When I upgrade in the bedroom which only occurs if upgrade in the living room, and move the old stuff to my bedroom, I either sell the oldest one of them, or give it to my parents or sister (they are always behind in the times)

A nice revolving door routine, so I always have my best 2 of a given thing, and also never have more than 2. Works for me.

We don't watch TV in the bedroom, my wife is too busy withholding sex to mess with a TV. No, I watch my movies after the kids go to bed so my familyroom has the only HT setup.

I would think that you would want to watch p0rn with the wife in the bedroom, thus a TV would go there.
