jvc xv-s500 question
is the model sold at Wal-Mart and other US retailers region-free? does JVC make one model for USA and another for other markets?
does it matter that the letters BK or SL appear after the model number (I know it's only supposed to designate black and silver, but are color codes only used on region 1 players??)

I have the silver ver and no they're not region free unless u get it modded, see the modded version selling on www.hkflicks.com
