I am thinking about getting one of those RCA home theater in a box systems from Samsclub. It only costs around $279 and looks pretty good. Could somebody go www.samsclub.com and look at it and tell me what they think? It is 700 watts and has Dolby Digital and DTS. I just want something that I can hook up to my Playstation 2 and get good sound for DVD's.

looks ok to me, but I'm pretty skittish about RCA electronics these days...esp. HT
however, at the price, why not!!!!

Go to bestbuy and Circuitcity and listen to some of the other systems first.

From: Bartertown due to it having a better economy than where I really live.
I have a RCA HTB, I think it is one model below the one my local sams club has. I think it's a good system. I'm sure there are better ones, but mine sounds good. My local sams started carrying it about a month after I got mine and the one they carry is cheaper than what I paid and has something like 100 more watts
I think mine is the 2500 but it doesn't say on the front and I'm too tired to find my manual

Like bfrank said, go around and listen to them, don't just shop by price. Just because you're on a budget doesn't mean you should go only by price...
I'd also second Yamaha. You may find some HT in a box from some other place that's maybe $100 more but may have better features, speakers, etc that make it worth spending a bit more.
That being said, just save more money and get a real HT receiver and speakers. While you're saving, shop around for quality stuff. I used to have a HT in a box deal, won't get those again!
