Gimme the dirt on Paradigm speakers...love or hate em?

Alright...I'm getting close to putting out about $1k on a 5.1 setup (see my other thread), and I have a hookup to get some paradigm speakers from a dealer for good prices...

so what's everyone's experience with paradigm? I see they get great reviews, so I'm fairly confident...

if you love them, why? if you hate em, why why why?

Love 'em. My first experience with Hi-Fi was when I walked to an audio store at age 14. I listened to a pair of Paradigm bookshelves (Atoms or Titans, I can't remember which) hooked up to a 40w Onkyo Stereo receiver. The start down a long, expensive road.

If you can get Paradigm's at a nice discount, you would be crazy to buy anything else IMO.

Which Paradigm's are you looking at?

Thumbs up on Paradigm. In the past two years, I've gotten Titans, Atoms, various Monitor series, and a PDR-12 for a home theater and multiple stereo setups... and they've all been fantastic. Terrific sound, and not one problem.

Every Paradigm speaker I've heard, I've loved.

My personal favorites are the Studio 20 and Studio 40 from the Reference Series.

they're simply amazing speakers (especially for the money)

I've got the Studio Reference 60's. They are great.
