Want your opinion on a Panasonic 40" LCD Projection TV
I am not very well-versed in the world of HDTVs and I haven't been able to find much information about the Panasonic PT-40LC12, which came out a few months ago (I believe).
I saw it while in Bestbuy, and absolutely fell in love with it...well, except for the cost . However, I hope to keep an eye out on this set, but wanted to get feedback from others about on what they might know about this set (or LCD projection in general). Here's a link to some info about it:
http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=...t=24&scat=1470
I realize it's tought to make a judgement just from text, but I wanted to find out if there's anything glaring I need to be aware of.
Thanks for any feedback!

Okay, managed to find some more info on the set. Based on reviews, it seems like the owners have really liked their sets. Problems, however:
- fan noise can be annoying even when mid-range sound is playing
- one purchaser encountered a green pixel on his set, which happened twice
It seems that the 45" model is out now, but at some retailers it's less expensive than the 40" model?
Still considering this model - despite the problems, everyone seems so happy with it nevertheless.

Any more info on these beauts? Both my girlfriend and I thought it looked terrific... and to get her to admit something like that is very *positive* step. The 45" would be a terrific replacement for my 3 year old 36" FS Wega. (Bastard doesn't have a widescreen enhanced mode!)
