Wega 16 X 9 squeeze every time I turn the unit on!!!

I have the 32" Sony KV-32FS13, which I bought specifically for the 16 X 9 squeeze.

Everything is peachy, but when I turn the TV off (whether I've used the enhanced mode or not) and turn it back on, regular television is squeezed to 16 X 9 mode! When I change the channel, it is fixed, but that's pretty annoying. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Mine does the exact same thing. It seems like just a quirk of the Wegas. It actually is not that big a deal, because it is off after you change the channel. If you were already watching a DVD before and ready to watch one again, you wont have to go into the menus to turn on 16x9 mode.

I've had this tv for about six months and I haven't had that happen yet, but I hardly ever turn the tv off in 16:9 mode since I have a macro that changes the setting back to tv. I'll have to try the other way when I get home.

I have the KV-36FS16 and the KV-27FS13 and that's never happened to me.

I wish mine did that. It's much easier changing channels than going into the menu.
