Built-in Dolby Digital decoder?
I just replaced my Sony DVP-S530D with a DVP-NS315 because of the compatibility the 315 has with CD-R and DVD-R. However, I don't see anything about the 315 having a built-in Dolby Digital decoder. What's the difference between having one built-in and not? I have a DD Harman Kardon receiver, so does the decoder have to be built in to my DVD player to take advantage of it, or does my receiver decode it? I used to sell this stuff at Circuit City while in college, but I've forgotten it all!

you only need a DD decoder in your player if your receiver lacks one and has 6-channel analog inputs. since your HK has a DD decoder, all you need to connect the dvd player to the receiver (audio-wise) is a single coaxial or optical cable.
