Daewoo 5800 Question
I just got a Daewoo 5800 DVD player and did the remote control region free code and set everything else. When I turned it on today it was back to the factory setting. Do I have to set something to save my settings? Also is there a way to turn off the red light on the front?

I have the 5700 (pretty much identical inside), and I haven't had a problem with losing the settings. Weird.
I would suggest trying again. Are you turning off the unit with the power button on the remote or on the player? I only use the power button on the remote and I have no problem.
And no, AFAIK there is no way to turn off that light.
