Receiver with Component Switching?
I just bought some HTD level threes speakers and am looking to upgradn my Pioneer 509S. I was wondering what you guys thought would be a good receiver that has component switching. I am really looking to keep the budget at $500 or under. At the HTF, someone recommended the Yamaha HTR-5560 and can be had at $330......Any good? It only has 2 component ins.......is there any with 3? Thanks for any help!

I would be suspicious of an inexpensive receiver being able to handle the full bandwith of component switching. Check the specs on this carefully if it is a major criteria.

So when I got my Malata, I had two DVD players I wanted to use with my main system which has a 36 inch Wega with only one component in. I found the JVC JX-S111 video switcher which has 3 component ins, among other things. It's passive and merely routes the signals to one component out and you change it manually by pressing a button (I know, you've got to get out of your chair, what a chore ). If there is any loss of signal quality, I can't see it.
I got it for $74.99 + shipping at etronics.com:
