Ceiling mounting speakers...Your thoughts?
I am in the midst of a Home Theatre project and have towers as my mains a matching bookshelf as my center (NHT SuperTwo's and a SuperOne).
I have opted to sell the SuperTwo's (anyone interested?) and bought another pair of SuperOne's and will be placing them all above my screen. I will tilt them slightly down, as the viewing audience will be 13-15 feet away. I hope that will do away with any potential problems of having the down-up-down effect as things pan across the screen.
I'm curious how you guys are mounting them? I am thinking about using plumbing pipe and omnimount fittings and adapter to mount them off the ceiling. On the side surrounds I have 2 NHT SuperOnes, and in the rear I have 2 rear NHT SuperOnes (7 SuperOnes total in all).
To mount the DaLite screen (52" x 92") a foot lower I am going to use plumbing pipe also and mount that off the ceiling.
I figure for the front 3 speakers I will need to tilt them down slightly, and maybe even toe-in the L and R speakers slightly??? Not sure...
Anyone have any insight on this???
