Are wireless headphones worth it?
Can you tell me the success or lack thereof of wireless headphones going through walls and the distances you can realistically travel before the sound degrades?
I've seen wireless headphones advertised as having ranges of 150 or even 300 ft, but I'm skeptical.
Sound quality is very important, but to tell you the truth, I really want to be able to listen to a ballgame, or other cable TV event while I mow my lawn or do yard work or piddle around in my basement.
Are the claims of manufacturers for real?

I've got some 900mhz wireless headphones made by JVC that easily reach 200' & goes through several inside walls & outside through my shop walls. There is occasional static but it works pretty well over all.
I use them while I'm outside all the time - although they have to be cranked up a bit while I'm mowing.

I've got two sets, a Recoton and a Sennheiser. I use them so as not to disturb my wife and you can move around with them.
I've never tried them outside the house so I don't know their true range (as opposed to what they claim).
But if you're looking for quality, they (mine, anyway) are nowhere near as good as the wired kind.
