Looking for a cheap, reliable, DVD player for my 27" bedroom TV

Although tempting, I think I am going to avoid the $69.95 Apex model because I have heard of way too many problems.

Any suggestions? Price is a big issue, but I don't want something that will breakdown in 6 mos.

The Toshiba 1700 (is that the current version? I have the 1600 verson) seems to be an inexpensive, decent player. Haven't had any problems with it.

Shop the sales.

Another idea would be upgrade you main player then move it ot you room. DVD-A and SACD are both starting to get into the mass market prices.
