Cd Player Help

I need to purchase a new cd player and wondered if anybody had any recommendations etc.

I"m not wanting anything to crazy, just a solid 5 disc or so player, that gives good performance for the dollar. Looking to spend around $200 or so, needing to upgrade all equipiment so brand matching on components isn't really an issue.

Before I get flamed, I tried the search button. Thanks all for the info.

You might want to check out the Marantz CC-4000. It should come in at about $200-250.
It's got decent D/A converters, and coaxial digital out should you choose to couple it with a digital receiver.
I have one, and love it. It sounds MUCH better than my old JVC and Pioneer decks.
My only gripe with the unit is the remote. But, since I use my receiver's remote to control my entire HT, it's a moot point anyway.

here's a link at hifi.com (the only authorized Marantz e-tailer)

Thanks for the info, and the suggestion. I ended up using your advice partially, used that site, but found a harmon kardon regular 260, for 150 shipped!

They had a great sale that was ending the very day you suggested that place to me. So Thanks big time pal!
