Need help connecting subwoofer
I have a question about connecting my new subwoofer. It has line level inputs for both left and right. I believe that my receiver has a single line level subwoofer output. Do I want to hook this into a single input (left or right?) or do I want to get a splitter and run it into both inputs? I was expecting a single input on the sub.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just use one of the inputs. The stereo input is there if you don't have a sub out on your receiver. The sub is just summing the 2 channels together so there is no need to split the cable and use both inputs.

Thanks
The sub I am replacing is a 20 year old passive sub with dual voice coils and I am pretty sure that my old one needs both channels connected to work right. I don't know if they still make them that way or not. This new one also has stereo line level outputs, so I wasn't sure if it was summing the signals or not. I guess I should have said the model of the sub, it is an Acoustic Research S112PS. I didn't want to say that and then be told what a piece of junk it is.
