I have an apex 500a dvd player (I know it sucks, but I can't afford anything better), and I recently bought Wizard of Oz and found that it could not play in it. It tries to spin up but it sounds as though the label on the top of the dvd is scraping against something inside because it makes a scraping sound. Yesterday I got Austin powers 2 and it did the same thing. It sits there and says loading and tries to load it for about 30 seconds then gives up and says no disc. These are the only discs it has done this with and I have no idea what I could do about it. Does anyone have any suggestions?
