Monster COAX cable BUZZING.

I bought a monster COAX 1m cable for my DVD player.
It's giving a buzz sound out of my speakers (and the audio sounds like trash) compared to the optical cable I have. I'm sad because my receiver has only 2 optical inputs, and I have 3 optical equipment to hook up - and 2 of them MUST be optical, the DVD player can be coax - but it isn't really working. The DVD is buzzing now with the monster coax (all speakers buzz, even when nothing is being played), I switch back to optical and it's crystal clear audio. Obviously interference is occuring right?

Or could the cable just be worthless? Now I don't know what to do....

Specifically I have XBOX and PS2, and bought optical cables for those, and bought a COAX cable for the DVD player - everything is monster. The PS2 and XBOX only have optical cables...nobody has made a coax for them. The DVD is suffering big time on COAX, lots of buzz - volume is slightly lower than optical. I need my DVD on optical. I just want answers on why this monster coax is buzzing. I moved the power cord from DVD player away from cable..no luck. I'm going to temporarily remove component monster cable which is right beside coax monster, and see if hte buzz dissappears.

Hmm...I removed the monster component cable and the buzz dissapears.

I have the Pioneer DV333.

...Anyone can suggest a better DVD player to purchase? This sucks now I cant play my games and have DVD connected at the same time..maybe I need a better receiver that has more optical inputs?

Thanks,
ELmO
