Any Multi-System (PAL PLAYBACK) TVs ?

I bought a Pioneer DVD Player (530) from UK

It has been modified to play all regions inc RCE. My problem now is to find a TV (Pref 36-65") CRT or Rear Projection (Wide) which will playback the region 2 DVDs which are in PAL

Any Suggestions ?

You'd probably have to go to Europe to buy a PAL compatible widescreen TV... but then you'll have to deal with the voltage differences, no warranty, import taxes, and $hipping as well..
I don't know if the TV tuner would work in all cases either..

I view the handful of PAL discs I own on my 56" HDTV via VGA output on a Home Theater computer. Although expensive and complicated to setup, I feel that this is the best option at the moment if you live in the US and really need to view PAL discs. All PAL to NTSC converters really suck!

Sorry I don't have better news for you..

Hate to disagree with you.

I have a "Denon 2800" with built in converter Pal/NTSC.
Have to be honest here, with my 700+ DVD collection...
many if not all of my anamorphic Pal DVDs are better than R1 titles.
All my DVDs, R1, R2 & R4 play flawless on my HDTV.
They better, as I paid $850.00 for my player.
I bought it from Switzerland, so it's a R2 player...
maybe is why the converter is so great?
Also is macrovision free & RCE free, etc.
I also hear that the new "Malata" has fantastic converter!
Had I known the "Malata" was coming out & only $300.00...
I would of bought it & saved a lot of money.
Than again, I'm super happy with my player!

I purchased mine through www.mindlogic.com about a year and half ago. He was really nice to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again (prices were the best I found as well).
Regards,
John
PS You also may wanna do a search on deja - may be some more info on this since I last looked...
