I bought the new 40 inch Wega a few weeks back and have noticed a few problems. First, the screen geometry is slightly off. It bows in slightly on the verticle axis near the center of the tv but not at the edges of the screen. but its not too bad. Second, and what concerns me is that there is a 4 inch wide strip running down the right edge of the screen, from top to bottom, that is slightly darker than the rest of the screen. It is especially noticable during white or light blue seens. I've switched the tv to one of the video inputs and turned the brightness all the way up and it is clearly visible, a slightly darker section of screen that is 4 inches wide and runs uniformly down the whole right side of the screen. Has anyone else seen this? Can it be fixed or is the tv defective? Any help will greatly be appriciated.

Sounds to me like your TV is messed up (and you should get a replacement), or maybe you have a speaker to close to the screen.

I have heard of geometry problems with the set. I would get a new one for that kind of money should be perfect.

yeah make sure mothing is interfering with the tv, some dvd players some cheaper receivers etc.. or mabey its just screwy
