Boston VRM Series Speakers

Im new to the forum and was wondering if any of you gurus could help me out with a speaker system.

A friend of mine has presented me with the following set of speakers for around $1500.00.
He says never used new in the factory sealed box.

VRM60C Fronts
VRMXCH Surrounds
VRMCCH Center
PV1000C Sub

I currently have the Boston Acoustic system 8000 which are a bit weak but sound o.k. They are not a good set-up for CD music in my opinion but o.k for DVD movies.

Anyhow, is the above VR series a good deal for 1500.00?

Would this be a good speaker system for DVD as well as CD music?

I have read on some of the review sites that these speakers are awesome. I would of course rather go in and hear some speakers but this deal appears far better than what I could get new in the store.

Good deal?
Any thoughts or info I should be aware of with these speakers?

Thanks,

Dbow

That's over half off retail. The sub alone is $1,200.
Buy it and be the envy of this forum...or at least me.
