Does S-Video make a difference on a 20" TV?

Can anyone answer this? I'm not sure if I should get S-Video anyway. Won't that bypass the comb filter if I use the S-Video input on a TV? Maybe I don't need a comb filter if I'm watching DVD's, but won't I want it if I'm watching a VCD or something else I play a lot on my DVD player?

It wont hurt anything to use an s-video cable but on a screen that size I doubt that you would be able to tell any difference.
