I'm looking to upgrade from a Fisher 1000 because I'm having problems with the Simpsons and Heathers discs, it has a very slow read time, my Scream Collection bonus disc, JFK bonus disc and several others dont work on my player, but work fine on others.

It was a start up player and i'm ready to move on.
Is the Panasonic DVD-RV31S DVD Player a good one? I see it for 179.00 at most places. I like the features, and I can deal without multi region.

The most important thing i want to know.... have you had trouble with certain discs? Does the player work like a charm? any setbacks?

I'd really like to buy tomorrow if I can.

Or.... any players better than this for under $250?

I got it. I love it.

My friend has a Pioneer RV-343 (a nice value unit) and we both prefer my Panasonic.
