Problem with my Sony DVP-NS700P

Wanted to run this by everyone to see if i have a faulty player. When i am using the progressive scan on this unit, i noticed that one some dvd's the screen goes black for about 2-3 seconds then comes back. There is still audio though. I switched it to interlaced and everything is fine. It doesn't do it on all dvd's though. Just wanted to see if anyone else is having this or a similar problem. Thanks in advance!!!

Not sure I understand, "goes black for 2-3 seconds"?

At the start of the disc, all the time, when?

At any point it will do it. Just goes black for a few seconds while the audio is still there.

I have this player and am using the progressive scan output (480p) and haven't had any problems. Approx 5 months old and used daily.

I have this player and it has been flawless.

If the problem is random and intermittent on all discs then it may be a bad cable or a bad player.

Check you connections first to see if one is loose.
