Tesco and Currys LG offers . . . . .

Hi everyone. Thinking of getting myself an LG 3000e from Tesco on-line, or in an actual Tesco shop (that's if they still have any to sell of course). Tesco are advertising them on-line at £149.99. Also, I believe they let you return any electrical goods for a full refund if under 14 days. This I like. Now then, I've also seen an LG 4710 advertised in Currys at £149.99 plus 3 free DVD's. But can anyone tell me which is the best buy - excluding free DVD's. Must admit to being a little confused with these models. Thanks in advance.

Yes, they are apparently.

Found this on google:

But I think you're going to get better response on that LG message board you already posted to.

But you might want to post your spending budget, what kind of features you're looking for or if you plan to upgrade, or if you plan to setup a high end home theater setup.

For anyone else's reference, £149.99 works out to about $218 US.

Good luck.

Zenith (in the US) = LG (elsewhere)

They are not bad given that they are multi-region hackable (the LGs at least, not sure about Zeniths), although I'll eventually upgrade to a Pioneer or a Toshiba.

I would strongly recommend getting an LG with CDR playback (not the 3000E).

www.lgdvd.co.uk has heaps of info on the players.
