rear speaker help?
hey... for some reason my rear speakers don't put out much sound? when i play a CD i switch it from pro logic to "live" "loud" and they still dont kick out much sound. a majority of the sound comes from the two front. i have JBL 38'S IN FRONT and JBLS N24 IN rear? i messed with all the settings but not sure? any help would be great.

an answer to your first question:
That's what's supposed to happen with CD's. They're not encoded with surround channels. CD's are two channel. When you use one of your DSP modes, your receiver is matrixing information into the rear channels to (in theory) give more ambience.
In order to really use your rear channels, you'd have to set your receiver to 5 ch stereo (but I don't know if this is available on your receiver)....or you'd need to listen to DVD's / DVD Audio / 6 channel SACD.
