My sub woofer is popping !!
i have a Sony 5.1 sound system and occasionaly my sub woofer makes a popping sound.This can be whilst watching the TV,Video or DVD.Any suggestions

It could be electrical noise from something else in the house that may be on that same circuit(i.e. refrigerator compressor motor). Try pluging the sub amp into a different outlet maybe on the other side of the room. Other than that it could be a malfunctioning receiver.
