cheap stands

Im looking for the cheapest speaker stands for my surrounds as possible. Of course, they need to be at least "decent" looking, but price is more important.

Ideas?

Thanks

I bought some concrete pedestals from my local crafts store. They are 30" tall, look very nice and are paintable. $25 a piece plus they are very heavy and detach the speaker very well.

I got these from HSN.com. The say the brand is Jasco, but when I got them they were another brand, but looked like the pictures. Installation instructions are horrible. It took a few minutes to realize that one of the two tubes was in the other!

By the way, there are coupons for HSN.com, but I think you have to call in to use them. Can't recall any right now though!

Part# 240-762

I bought these a few months ago and I like them. They were the cheapest surround stands I could find that I liked the looks of.

The shaft is also large enough to run 12AWG wire though which may be important to you.

Do you know how much shipping was for the ones from parts express?

I have those stands from parts express, and IIRC the shipping was about $8-10. I couldn't get my 12ga wire to fit thru though (had to use 14). either way these are nice stands and I recommend them

Thanks, just picked them up for the total of $28.57 total after coupon and tax and shipping.

Not too bad. I actually have this same exact pair (well looks EXACTLY the same as picture and discription with the two different plates, the whole nine yards). I got them at Radioshack about a year ago for $50 plus tax. So this is about 1/2 the price!

They aren't bad stands, not the sturdiest of stands but do have a nice look, and they go a little higher than most "fixed level" stands.

Anyone know if the JBL N24's fit on these pretty good or not? Because I just ordered these speakers yesterday as well.

My friend got these stands a couple weeks ago, and his N24's fit perfectly.

My 22lb S26's, however, would not... I tried

Thanks. That is good news. I went ahead and ordered them and thought "what if they don't fit" afterwords.

Because I'm upgrading my speakers from a pretty bad set of KLH "small" satellites that fit VERY easily on the stands.

The larger square that the speakers are placed on is 4 inches x 4 inches. It came with velcro, too.

I got two 42" pedestals (the ones u keep statues / pots etc.)from Michaels for $15 each....
they are hollow inside, so u can drill a hole for ur wires....
they look ornamnetal though...not contemporary...but are very sturdy.... hope that helps.......
