Interference
Can anyone help?
For some time now I've been getting interference on my screen in the form of fuzzy, floating, horizontal bars. This has been EXTREMELY annoying, but I couldn't ever figure out what the problem was. I even took my television to a repairman who said that he couldn't find any problem with it.
Well, last night I discovered the problem - it's my surround system. We had a thunderstorm, so I had unplugged my dvd player and surround system. The interference was gone. I tried plugging in the dvd player - no interference. I plugged in the surround system (receiver), and interference immediately appeared on the screen.
Obviously this is a maddening pain in the ass when I'm trying to watch movies. Does anyone know how I might fix this problem?
Thanks in advance.

Several possible ideas
This is rf interference. You can try an rf filter, you could move the receiver a little further away, make sure that the ground plugs on your equipment are not broken.
It is also possible that the receiver is somehow damaged.
Good luck
