The old VCR Rabbit not cutting it anymore?

Actually, this is an interesting find... I'd be curious about how well it works, particularly the picture quality. I've had baaaad luck with other products that reputedly work "using existing phone lines".

Anybody out there actually tried this?

phoneline networking technology has been around a few years. I bet this is at least as good as the 2.4ghz items if not better. If anyone tries this let us know.

I have the WaveCom Sr. which uses the same technology. I used it for about a month and it works great. However, I can no longer use mine because I have a cordless phone that operates on 2.4 Ghz. The telephones that operate on 2.4 Ghz have a stronger signal which causes major distortion in the picture with these devices(that is what the technician from the phone manufacturer told me). If you don't have a 2.4Ghz phone, it is a good investment. Like the Terk Leapfrog, the WaveCom Sr. also allows the unit to change channels from another room with any remote.

Why would the mghrtz from the phone make a difference? Isn't it running on the phone wires? Or is there interference like on an unshielded speaker to a TV?

I have a Siemens telephone. Both the phone and the WaveCom operate on 2.4Ghz and the technician from Siemens told me that the telephone signal in that range is much stronger than other consumer electronics operating in that bandwidth. As soon as I unplug the electrical chord on the telephone, the picture on the WaveCom is perfect. The telephone is upstairs and the WaveCom is in the basement but they both run off electrical current.
