Lines of resolution??
I'm about to purchase one of the new JVC 32" D-Series, either the 302 or the 502. I've found the 302 for $599 and the 502 for $699.
The only major difference is the 502 has 2-tuner PIP and 800 "lines of horizontal resolution" and the 302 has no PIP and 700 lines of resolution.
I know I will never use the PIP, so the only difference in the extra 100 lines of resolution and the extra 100 bucks. Is it really worth it?
I'm just getting this for college, and I know how nice the VVegas are, but I'd like to keep the price modest. I know I can get a 27" VVega for this amount, but I believe I'm going to stick with the 32" JVC, unless someone can convince me otherwise.
Advice anyone?

When it comes to screen resolution, horizontal resolution is not that big a factor. Vertical resolution is what you want to look at. The higher your vertical resolution the sharper the image and the scan lines are less noticable. So with that said there is really no discernable difference between 700 and 800 lines in horizontal resolution.

I would also strongly consider the Toshiba 32A50. It can be found for just over $500. It is a very nice set. I really like Toshiba TV's. You can even get the Toshiba 36A50 for $750 and watch TV in style.
