My DV 343 has lots of nice setup options including the setting the picture for "standard, movie, or animation". This changes the color and black levels slightly. Tons of audio setup options which some other levels in the price range don't have.
My favorite is "conditional memory". It will hold the settings for up to 10 discs. We watch a lot of foreign movies and it will remember all the subtitle/language/audio info. Some players will remember the info for the last five discs played, but the Pioneer remembers the info until you clear it from memory.
