Problems hooking up a PS2 to a JVC VCR!
I'm ripping my hair out on this one..
I'm slumming this month by living with an ex without any of my home theatre equipment. After a week with no DVDs I had to pull the PS2 from storage to use here.
She has no cable, and JVC VCR. The antenna hooks to the VCR then to the TV. I hooked the PS2's RCA jacks to the VCR and tried to get things to work. If the VCR is on channel "AUX" and the TV is on channel 3, i get perfect sound but no picture. I've tried every other combination of channels but either get static or the tv channel. I've hit every other button on the VCR and TV with no avail. Any ideas?
Thanks
Jason

Heres what you want to do then
Get an RF modualtor( ~ $25) and connect the RCA jack from the ps2 into that, connect your antenna into the video in on the vcr, run the video out from the vcr into the antenna in on the modulator and run a piece of coaxial cable from the video out from the RF in on your tv.

Thanks for the info. I just used my VCR. It works. There must be something wrong with the video input of her VCR.
At last I can watch my DVD's again.

Just so you know....
It is a very bad idea to hook up a DVD player through a VCR. You will very likely have problems watching certain DVDs (many of them actually) due to macrovision copy protection that occurs when hooking it through a VCR...
