I just picked up the tx-ds494 from Crutchfirled for $300.
It was time for the plunge into DD and dts and DPL II.
The Patriot and The 6th Day were super.
All 5 mains are NHT SuperOnes.
Sub is Boston acoustics CR400.
DVD is Pioneer DV525.
For the money you can't beat this new receiver.
It even has s-video switching. I keep volume at 60-65.
5 channels of discrete sounds are AWESOME.
Remote poor but it does control everything.
FM, CD performance sound good also. Love 5 channel stereo.
Anyone else have this receiver yet?
